How to Screen Record a Presentation With Your Face & Voice
A screen recording of a presentation should include more than just your slides. The best ones also show your face and capture your voice, so the audience feels like you are presenting live. SlideStage does all three in the browser, without installing any software.
1. Export your slides to PDF
Most presentation tools let you export to PDF. In PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote or Canva, choose PDF export and make sure each slide is a separate page. Animations will be flattened, so duplicate slides that build in stages if you want each step as its own frame.
2. Load the PDF into SlideStage
Open SlideStage and drop the PDF into the upload area. The slides are rendered locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded. If you have a folder of slide images, that works too.
3. Turn on camera and microphone
Allow camera and microphone access when prompted. The webcam bubble is draggable, so you can place your face where it feels natural. For eye contact, keep it near the top of the screen and close to the slide content you are reading.
4. Add an optional script (not recorded)
Paste your talking points into the teleprompter. It is visible to you while recording but is never captured in the final video, so you can deliver a smooth take while looking toward the camera.
5. Record while advancing through slides
Press start, then move through the deck with the arrow keys or the on-stage controls. The controls and teleprompter stay outside the captured area, so the final video is just your slides, voice and face. Pause and resume as needed.
6. Download your finished video
Finish the recording and save the file. You get a single WebM video that plays in any modern browser and converts to MP4 in seconds with ffmpeg, VLC or HandBrake.
